....I woke up at 2:30 am having contractions. I thought this couldn't be happening, I am only 35 weeks.I don't have anything packed for the hospital let alone we hadn't even decided on a name for our new baby boy. I walked around the apartment and tried to lay back down but the contractions just kept coming. About 4:30 I called the Doctor's office and they told me to take some tylenol and wait awhile to see if they would stop. Well, while I waited I went ahead and started to get my hospital bags packed. I pulled the baby seat out of the closet but got upset because it was dirty. I hadn't planned on getting it ready this early. By this time, Dustin was getting up and starting to get ready for work. It was the Saturday before Christmas, one of the busiest days of the Christmas season so I knew he would not be happy. I broke the news to him and told him I had already put in a second call to the doctor and I was waiting for them to call me back. Well, he went ahead and headed to work. He had to go since he was the one opening the store. He wasn't even half way there when I got the call back from the doctor telling me to go ahead and make my way into the hospital. I made my call to my manager letting him know that I wasn't going to make it in today....it was funny because I had been joking with him that I wasn't going to make through Christmas so he better be prepared to not have me around. Well it looks like I was right. Dustin opened the store and headed back home so we could take Jacob to the babysitter. I think that was the longest drive ever!
We finally made it to the hospital and they took us to a special wing of the maternity ward where they gave me some meds to stop the contractions. That lasted all day long until about 3:30 pm. Baby Netral just would not have it, he was ready to come into the world. So the doctors decided to stop the meds and let him come. But then Baby Netral changed his mind. The contractions slowed down. So while we waited Dustin and I went back and forth about what names we liked. Finally, we decided on Hayden Thomas. Hours passed and finally the contractions started to come closer and closer. At 10:15 pm Baby Hayden was ready to arrive but we had to wait for the Doctor's to be ready. I remember clear as today, at 10:23pm and one push later, Hayden entered the world. He was so much smaller than Jacob was when he was born. Hayden weighed 6 lbs 6 oz and 19 inches long.

Hayden still is just as stubburn and does things on his own time table. He has grown up to be such a big boy. This year, his speech has improved significantly. He has come out of shell and became quite a talker. They are many times that I just can't get him to stop talking.
Dustin is out of town and will be flying home tonight. So it looks like we will actually be celebrating Hayden's 4th birthday tomorrow night. He was so excited today to go pick out his Birthday Cake.
Jacob's Christmas party as school was today so Hayden had somewhat of celebration. Jacob's teacher gave Hayden a brithday crown to wear at the party. Hayden was able to decorate sugar cookies an make a reindeer candy cane.

Jacob's class did a book exchange. It was so funny because they all sat in a circle and and had to do math problem and then pass the book to the left or right. Some didn't know which was left and which was right. Some passed the book while others kept multiple books. Finally, the teacher just said everyone get a book and open it!
