Trip to the zoo...what a day!

Today was a beautiful day to take a stroll thru the zoo. We hadn't been to the Birmingham Zoo since we first moved to Alabama in early 2007. We were accompanied by a couple other moms and their kids. All was going well, we visited the kangaroos and a few other animals. We headed to the Lions and Tiger exhibit and was making our way throught the building when we realized that Hayden was no where to be found. AHHHH!!! It is just like Hayden to wander off by himself. We all split up and canvased the area to try and find him. How frightening! About 10 minutes later we found him sitting on the side of a path waiting there with another family just crying. I was so relieved to have found him. This little escapade of Hayden didn't stop us from enjoying the rest of the day at the zoo. As for the other mothers who joined us, they were more stress out than me and they had to leave. Sorry ladies!!! Having one child to look after is definitely easier than having three...

Miss Hayden and Mr Hayden.

All the babies watching the tigers walk back and forth.
This is about the time we realized that Hayden was missing.

This is where we found Hayden after he wandered off by himself.
I have to say I was quite impressed with the zoo personel. They responded very fast.

The boys had the chance to dig up some dinosaur bones.

We apparently have an Aubrun fan and...

a Bama fan. Sounds like trouble to me!
Caleb admiring the large tropical birds.Hayden always following in his big brothers footsteps.

Caleb and one of his favorite blanket. He has 3 blankets that he will carry around. They are all blue. Try and give him another one that isn't blue and we have a problem.YUMMMM! Mulch is full of fiber!
After the Zoo, Caleb had his 1 year checkup.
He is my brave little boy. To help him recoop after getting his shots we
went to the park and let him play around for awhile.

Christmas Day!!!!

It is our last Christmas in Alabama. Hayden woke up today and totally forgot that it was Christmas Day. It wasn't until Caleb woke up and walked out to the living room that he realized what day it was. It was so cute. Caleb walked to the living room and walked back to the bedroom and got Hayden to follow him out to the Christmas Tree. Now the excitement begins. Hayden began to spread the word that Santa came last night and woke everyone up wanting us to come see.

Some pics of our tree.

Hayden opening his present from Grandma Paz. Looks like Caleb sees something he likes!

He found his new 4 wheeler. He's a little hesitant but evently figures out how to sit on it. And that is where he stays for the next 20 minutes while Jacob and Hayden open all their presents.
Jacob got a robot from Grandma Paz. He also got a Ben 10 game from Santa.
Hayden got a romote control dog and his favorite game "I spy."

Hayden and Jacob exploring their Christmas Stockings.

Looks like Jacob got the DS he has been asking for but where are the games? Did Santa hide them in the tree?

Finally, Caleb tears into his first Christmas present.

Oh so many balls. He is in heaven!

Caleb checking out Hayden's new toy. And he just can't resist climbing all over the boxes.

Caleb need a little help opening the rest of his presents. Opening the bag of balls was just too much work!

I think Caleb likes the plastic the cars came in better than the cars.

Caleb finally figures out that the button makes it move. He doesn't push it for long because it seems to scare him a little.

Looks like Caleb decided it was easier to just push it. Hayden is enjoying his new dog.

I'm never going to get Jacob away from his new DS now!

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve and the boys are so excited to get some presents from Santa. Lucky for me I got my Christmas present from Dustin and Boys tonight. I got a new SLR camera and I love it!!! Here are some pictures of me learning how to use it.
Caleb has been trying to open the presents under the tree for weeks now.
Looks like he was successful at ripping a piece of wrapping paper off a present!

Hayden and Caleb have this fascination with the laundry baskets.

Hayden just loves posing for the camera. Not so shy no more...

Hayden has become quite a Daddy's boy!
